Karen S. Kinslow, a PhD candidate in Geography at the University of Kentucky, researches, writes, and teaches about nature-based solutions with regard to climate crisis response and socio-ecological 'restoration.' She recently collaborated with other scholars and practitioners on a "critical restoration geographies" reading group and a related symposium, which appeared on _Antipode Online_. Her place-based doctoral research examines the restoration of the Cane Run Creek in Lexington, KY, USA and explores the possibility of restoration futures through a consideration of representation and affect.
