Community of Practice Method/ologies Lab

Introducing the Community of Practice Method/ologies Lab!

We’re a group of young scholars working in/with political ecology, seeking to build community across geographic space and beyond disciplines. This is an ongoing digital space for young and independent scholars to think through questions, frustrations, possibilities of doing engaged research. We want to think through accountability and praxis to facilitate an ongoing space for sharing, colearning in undisciplined conditions.

How to ensure knowledge is co-created and scholarship non-extractive? How to think of methodology as an ongoing, collaborative process? How does methodology become more mercurial in its very nature, unfixed in space and time?

To begin, we are opening a space for conversations and reflections around methods, methodologies, engaged scholarship, and co-creation of knowledge. In doing so, we hope that nodes of connection will emerge and continue.

To stay in the loop, please fill out this form. We have provided some questions as suggested starting points to help guide our first conversation, should you elect to answer them.

First Meeting: January 31st – 11am ET / 4pm GMT / 5pm CET / 9:30pm in India
